Parties
(i) Thomas Awdley and William Rowse of Houghton, gent.
(ii) Richard Button, Richard Estwick, and Edmund Bracy of Wootton, gent., John Pawle, Thomas Fowkes, John Matthew, Matthew Pawle, Henry Fowkes (son of TF), Richard Fowkes, Robert Crawly, Thomas Cowl(e)y and Henry Savidge of Wootton, yeomen.

Operative part
Feoffment (grant, alien, assign, enfeoff, and confirm) from (i), for and in consideration of the assured trust and confidence reposed in them by JP and TF (of the (ii)) and for the absolute performance of certain considerations and conditions contained in a pair of Indentures of 25 Feb. ult. made between JP and TF of the one and (i) of the other, to (ii) of all those lands, tenements and hereditaments situate in Wootton and Kempston which (i) had of JP and TF, their heirs and assigns, and which are mentioned and expressed in a terrier annexed to the deed (see below) 'together with all evidences, minimtes, wryteinges and terrers concerninge only the same or any parte thereof'.
The Terrier:
(a) ½ ac. lying on Hatchway Furlong abutting into Hatchwaie between the land of His Majesty on the N. side and land of Sir Thomas Cicill on the S. side.
(b) ½ ac. on the same Furlong, Sir TC on both sides.
(c) ½ ac. being a ley on the same Furlong, between the land of John Hill on the N. side and land of Robert Pickeringe on the S. side.
(d) ½ ac. on the same Furlong between the land of the King on the N. side and Sir TC on the S. side. Total: 10 acs. Habendum: to (ii) their heirs and assigns only to the uses, intents and purposes expressed and declared viz. that they, or such other person(s) as they, their heirs or assigns or the greater part of them shall nominate or appoint 'by their deputie or deputies townesman or townesmen for that purpose', shall with the annual and yearly issues, profits and rents of the premises from time to time so often as need shall require 'accordinge to their discrecions for the time beinge' contribute some part towards the repair and amendment of the 'decayes' of the church of Wootton and the remainder or surplus, being the greater part of the said annual rents, issues and profits, shall 'accordinge...[etc.], as neede shall require, for the tyme beinge releive and distribute amongst the poore, lame, blynde, aged, disseased, and impotent people and orphanes which for the tyme beinge shalbe inhabitinge within the said parish of Wootton'.
