Demise ('tradidimus, dimisimus et...carta nostra confirmavimus') from William Fowkes and Thomas Rolle to Thomas Carter of Ridgmont ('Rygemond'') of all those lands and tenements, meadows and pastures with all their appurtenances (which they lately had jointly with Richard Eldom and Thomas Fewkes, now deceased, by the gift and feoffment of Matthew Skerne, vicar of Wootton; see X740/6) in the vill and fields of Wootton and Kempston and late of John Homwode.
