    - bequeathed to his wife Elizabeth a house in occupation of Peter Haslewood, woollen draper, and a house in occupation of Mary Smith, spinster, in Peter Haslewood's yard[a marginal note stating that the premises were on east side of High Street, opposite the Market Place and was sold by John Bradley at public auction to Ebenezer Mayle on 5 May 1806], with a annuity of £10 to be paid to Bamford's uncle Thomas Fairclough arising out of the property; - after the death of EB the property to pass to his kinswoman Mary, wife of Nathaniel Bardolph of Bedford, inn holder and William and Mary Newman, son and daughter of Elizabeth and William Newman of Bedford, grocer provided they pay the following sums: - 40/ per annum to the minister etc. of St.Paul's, Bedford to buy bread for the poor to be distributed weekly from Michaelmas to Lady Day; - £5 per annum to the minister etc. of St.Paul's, Bedford, to put a boy or girl apprentice yearly out of St.Paul's, Bedford; - 20/- per annum to the minister etc. of St.Peter's, Bedford, to buy bread to be distributed each Sunday to four poor people of the parish from Michaelmas to Lady Day. Memorandum that Elizabeth Bamford died on 6 or 7 Nov 1723. List of apprentices put out, including: Richard, son of William Flint put out to a wheelwright in Gamlingay [Cambridgeshire] in 1724; John, son of Robert Thompson put out to a butcher in Bedford in 1725; [blank] son of [blank] Nelson put out to a blacksmith; J.Lovelidge's son to W.Negus in 1800; Dingley Garrett in 1801; John Walker's son in 1802; Widow Yorke's son and Widow Palmer's son in 1803; Bradley's brother in 1804; John Ives in 1808; R.Love in 1809; J.Trolly in 1811; Ridge in 1812; H.Chapman in 1813; John Slinn in 1817
