    - he was aged 58; - he had lived in Aspley Guise all his life except for one year when he was in service; - he was the son of Isaac Perry of Aspley Guise, labourer; - he had recollections of widow Bandy, late of Aspley Guise, being in possession of a certain piece of ground at Aspley Guise and a small cottage standing thereon, about 50 years ago and that it was her property; - after widow Bandy’s death the property was in possession of Thomas Cooper and his wife Mary (who was the daughter of widow Bandy); - 48 years before, Thomas and Mary Cooper had sold the piece of ground and cottage to his father, Isaac Perry; - Richard Perry was present when his father paid for the land; - in 1800 Isaac Perry pulled down the cottage and erected another on the same ground; - in 1839 Isaac Perry sold the cottage to Robert Knights.
