Notes by Knightley D'Anvers on the case of Mr. Guy Hillersdon. His claim to - - Fosses or Neales & Milksopps or Ladyhouse & a mess. in Hog Lane Luton. Deeds examined. 8 Aug. 1659 (sic) Geo. King's settlement on his 2 daus. (AD1220). Dau. Mary to have the sd. prop. in tail. Will of Mich. Knights, husb. of Mary: To dau. Eliz. in tail unless wife with child of a son at time of death - this did happen - (Eliz. then only the farms occ. by Will. Gazely & Jn. Cox.) Will of Mich. Knights, the ynger. having the lands in right of his M. D. w'out. issue:- To Mich. Hillersden, son of his sis. Eliz. & Guy H. clerk. Recovery: Guy & Eliz. Hillersden. Guy H. has not a good claim - M.K. the elder held only in right of w. - on d. of M.K. the younger it came to sis. Eliz. thro' tail, notwithstanding the will, there having been no fine or recovery. Eliz. has power to suffer a Recovery to use of Guy.
