Notification to the overseers of the poor of St.Paul of the Order for payment of maintenance to Ann, wife of John Elliot, serving in the Bedfordshire Militia as a substitute for James Ayres of the parish of Roxton. Maintenance 1 shilling per week. Includes confirmation that the sums paid will be reimbursed by the Overseers of Roxton, and endorsement that the maintenance has been paid dated 20 Nov 1781 Note that maintenance increased by 1 shilling a week for child born Feb 1782.
