Notification to the overseers of the poor of St.Paul of the Order for payment of maintenance to Ann, wife of Daniel Swales, serving in the Bedfordshire Militia as a substitute for William Sykes of the parish of Dean. Maintenance 2 shilling per week to support Ann and child under ten years of age Includes confirmation that the sums paid will be reimbursed by the Overseers of dean, and endorsement that the maintenance has been paid dated 19 Nov 1781 On the reverse is a note that another child has been born, and an additional 1 shilling in maintenance will be paid (27 Nov 1781)
