"Sometime a goe You was So Kind to send me 40 Shillings which was deliver'd. to Mr. Haines in Shoreditch, and my husband in his life time Oweing Mr. Haines Some money, he stopt 28 Shilling, So that I have but had the Small remainder to Subsist of, and my poor familey Ever Since, which put us to Extreme Want, and we must inevitably Starve ... I beg you would be so good to Send for the future a weekly Supply, by the Carrier...I have Six Children besides my Selfe, and we have all be down of the fever Since his death, which has been a Severe tryall upon me, having been obliged to part with Every necessary thing I had in the world, to keep our lives and Souls togather. I beg Dr Sir that you will Consider our present misery, in its true State, and Send Some Speedy relief; for which Charitable action I hope my good God will shower Down his Cheifest blessing upon You; I beg you will "not delay for hunger will Crye out and our poverty Can be no longer Concealed, pray let me know how you intend to dispose of us....for Gods Sake, I am truly Sorrey to be So very burthen Some, which is an unexpected fate Come upon me....Your most Disconsolate and obedient Servant to Command .....Please to me at Mr John Fields A chandlers Shop in Shore Ditch near the 3 Pidgeons"
