Jn. Richardson. Born St. Paul, where father Peter was settled. Apprenticed to Thos. Hinde, Shefford, barber, by Bedford Charity, serve 3 years of his term when his master died and he was turned over by his master's executor to Wm. Holman, All Saints, Northampton, hair dresser, who was under cert. from Kettering. He served his new master only two months "when he ran away ...on account of ill usage" and returned to St. Paul. His master sent him a letter "to desire him to return but he refused and his master never took any steps to compel him to serve the Remainder of his Term". Has since resided in St. Paul and has worked as a journeyman barber by the week. 2 or 3 months after he left Holman he heard that he had sold up and left Northampton for London, where he has since worked as a journeyman. Married 1 year ago in St. Paul to Martha Staines, Brayfield, Bucks.
