Inventories

1587-1623 (mainly 1618-19), 1643, 1682, 1806-1832 with gaps

Some of these were received with the Archdeaconry MSS in 1922 and were numbered 1-166 and printed in BHRS volume XX. When the wills were received in 1950, it was possible in some cases to trace the wills relevant, in which case the will number is cross referenced but inventory and will have not been physically reunited. When the wills were received in 1950, there were with them two groups of inventories, some stitched together at the head to make a roll (ABP4/167-178), some in bundles (ABP4/179-286). Again, some but not all could be traced to the relevant will or administration; but again they have not been physically united. For these, see BHRS volume XXXII (earlier) and CRT150A/2 (later)

ABP4/1-180 were numbered in no apparent order. ABP4/181-282 appear to be in chronological order and then some undated and later finds have been added to the end as ABP4/283-290.
