Came to Bedford in 1772; rented a house in St. Pauls for £2 per year; also rented at Rowel a shop, house & chamber at £1 6s. per year; also held a shop & warehouses at Kettering at the same time for £7 15s. per year, which he held until his affairs were settled by Mr. Broughton & Collis of Kettering, the tenement at Kettering being rented of Mr. John Sewel of Uppingham and the house and shop of Timoth Clark, same. Wife's name Martha; 3 chn. He paid taxes at Rowel and Kettering.
