    Information of William Miller Fisher, Rate Collector for the Parish of Sandy and Collector of Taxes. He called on William Odell of Sandy for a Poor Rate and some Property Tax. He refused to pay and said that someone had told him that he shouldn't have paid it the year before. Fisher told him that he would have to make him pay. Directly Odell rushed out at Fisher putting his clenched fist Fisher's face saying 'You old devil I've a great mind to strike you' and offered to fight him. Fisher refused and said he would summons him. Odell paid him. Fisher had previously been summoned by Odell and convicted. Since then there had not been a very good feeling between them. Sarah, wife of William Daniels and Odell's daughter, heard a noise and went out saying 'What is the matter?' Fisher replied ' I've asked this old rascal for his rate and he won't pay me'. She heard Fisher calling Odell very bad names and say he ought to be drummed out.. Information of William Daniels, Odell's son-in-law. He saw Fisher go to Odell's door and ask for the rate. Odell walked out of the house and offered to fight him for a sovereign. Odell was 3 yards off Fisher when he put up his fist. Closed
