Kimpton "Mr.Hine's demand for £10 for his costs is most exorbitant, but it seems to us that the contractor is in such urgent want of possession that it would cost the Company a good deal more in the end if possession is delayed. We think you may offer him £5 and if he will not take that....we can bring it before the Lands Committee.....we fear there is no alternative but to allow the £10.....You had perhaps better see the engineer before you make Mr.Hine an offer. So let us hear from you as soon as possible".
