    Deposition: William Sansum. Marston. 18 January 1671. An ewe sheep of his was stolen from Jurrard Frankline's fold. Suspects S.Keenee, J.Watte, Th.Hull, William and JohnHecckett and JohnBeaumont, who, he heard, had eaten a sheep information of Wm Saneum of Marston Moretaine labourer taken the 18th Jan. 1670 before Thos Snagg and Robt. Crompton JPs for the sd. county This informant sayeth that about the begininge of Nov. last past hee had an ewe sheep taken out of the fould on one Jarrard Frankline of the sd. town yeoman, and that since has heard there was a sheep eaten about the sd. time att one Basterfeilds an alehousekeeper in Marston aforesd, brought to his howse by Sam Keenes, Jn Watts, Thos Hull, Wm Hocckett, Jn Hocckett and Jn Beamont all inhabs of Marston. Whereupon hee the sd. Wm Sansum hath a suspition of all the before-mentioned persons and further sayeth not.
