    [f. 14] Roger Wegen of Dunstable made 7 Apr, pr. 16 June 1544 Burial in the parish church of St. Peter's in Dunstable. To the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the maintenance of the high altar in Dunstable 12d.; to the maintenance of every altar in the said church 6d. a piece; to be given to the poor people 6s. 8d.; for a priest to sing for the souls of testator, his wife and all Christians 10s.. To daughter Anne £10 sterling either in money or in money worth, to "go forward for hir profett " as discretion of his executors, and to her also a worsted kirtle, a cap and 2 kerchers. To his father Alexander Wegen £4 sterling. To his brother John 40s. and to three of his children 10s. to be divided between them. To brother James 13s. 4d. To Raffe Croke 3s. 4d.. To testator's maid Anne Persyvall 6s. 8d.. To his wife's sister Katering the best gown that had belonged to his wife, 2 kerchers, a cap and a black hat. To his brother John his wearing clothes except his best gown, which was to go to his father. Residue to John Platt priest and Richard Denton, his executors, to use for his soul, and each to have10s..
