  • Title
Letter from Darley, V., Bettens (?) Reads- Not hearing from Turner, since my kind reception at your house, agreeable to what was then discoursed on relating to Mrs. Langdon's title to garden, have made further enquiry. Find there was a contract made for a lease of it; in consequence of the bargain you were let into the possession. Thus the moiety does not belong to you but is the property of Mrs. Langdon for her life by marr. sett. If it's not given up, & profits accounted for, she will order her steward to apply to a court of law.
