- TitleDeclaration by Elizabeth Hide, wife of John Hide of Leighton Buzzard, confectioner: - aged about 65; - she knew Samuel Reeve, late of Leighton Buzzard, common brewer, deceased and his wife Mary, nee Mary Turner, whom she knew before her marriage; - both Samuel Reeve and Mary Turner were Quakers; - she was servant to Benjamin, father of Samuel Reeve at Leighton Buzzard for 7 years before Samuel's marriage, Samuel lived with his father both before and after his marriage and she continued as their servant for 23 years; - she was not present at Samuel's marriage but believed it took place at Friends' Meeting House, Brighton [Sussex]; - Samuel and Mary Reeve had five children, all born at Leighton Buzzard - Eliza, Mary Ann (now wife of William Barrett), Emma (now wife of Sampson Samuel Lloyd, Louisa and Charles, he being youngest and over 21 years old; - she left service on marrying John Hide in 1829 but had remained on intimate terms with Samuel and Mary Reeve
