    Bond of Indemnity from James Pettit of Leighton Buzzard, wine merchant, Charles Pettit of Banbury [Oxfordshire], draper and Henry Pettit of Leighton Buzzard, solicitor to Joseph Procter of Leighton Buzzard, gentleman for 1,000 - reciting lease of 31 Oct 1845 [see Z1118/1/21/20]; - reciting assignment of lease of 6 Sep 1851 to William Fossey Pettit [recited in Z1118/1/1/17]; - reciting Charles Reeve had made considerable additions and improvements to premises then demised to William Fossey Pettit; - reciting William Fossey Pettit had also made considerable additions and improvements which Joseph Procter agreed to purchase by agreements of 30 Mar 1854 [see Z1118/1/1/17] and 1 Jan 1863 [Z1118/1/1/18]; - reciting William Fossey Pettit had relinquished his brewery business and Joseph Procter, at request of Pettit's brothers, James, Charles and Henry, had agreed to buy his interest in the improvements which had been valued by two valuers, one chosen by Procter and one by the Pettits and agreeing on a price of 480; - reciting William Fossey Pettit unable to give a receipt "from mental incapacity" and Joseph Procter agreed to pay the money to James, Charles and Henry Pettit on behalf of their brother; - condition of bond that Joseph Procter was indemnified from further claim; - witness: William Dewes of Ashby de la Zouche [Leicestershire], solicitor
