    Manor of Leighton Buzzard alias Grovebury - presentment that on 3 Jul 1832 of surrender out of court by William Bennett, late of Leighton Buzzard, now of Bedford, common brewer and Ann, his wife, of (a)-(b) to use of Samuel Reeve in consideration of 439 (owed on mortgage of 17 May 1815 to John Goodman late of Brogborough, Ridgmont, then of Aspley Guise, yeoman) and 401, making a total of 840, part of 2,845 apportioned as price of hereditaments to be surrendered by William Bennett to Samuel Reeve of Leighton Buzzard, common brewer by release of 3 Jul 1832 - (a) cottage in Middle Row, Leighton Buzzard, formerly of John Marshall for many years, since divided into two tenements one of which "for a long time past" had been an inn called Cross Keys in occupation of William King and James Sharpe, then Henry Samuel and William King; - (b) toft on which part of (a) had stood in occupation of William Flemons, miller, since John Layton, gardener, then bounded out by stones from Market Place near the Cross; - first proclamation for Samuel Reeve to come into court to be admitted "but he came not wherefore his default was recorded and second proclamation will be made at the next court"
