    Conveyance by Release Parties: (i) Bridgett Chase of Luton, widow of Samuel Chase, late of Luton, gentleman, deceased; (ii) Samuel Chase of Luton, surgeon; Daniel Chase of Liberty of Norton Falgate, London shoemaker - sons of Samuel Chase, deceased, by a former wife; James Gutteridge of Eaton Green, Luton, gentleman, trustee for Samuel and Daniel Chase Reciting: - Marriage Settlement by Lease & Release of 21-22 Jan 1744 [1745] between (1) Samuel Chase; (2) Bridgett Gardener, widow; (3) Samuel Marsom in which (2) conveyed a cottage, orchard or close and 1a 3r 0p land in Limbury and Leagrave, Luton to (3) to use of (1) and (2) and heirs of (1); - Lease & Release by way of conveyance of 19-20 Oct 1750 from (1) John Nodes the elder and John Nodes the younger to (2) Samuel Chase and Bridgett, his wife of a cottage in Louce Lane, Luton in occupation of Jonas Sale to (2); - mortgage of 26 Jul 1751 from Samuel Chase and Bridgett his wife to Thomas Munn for 30 at 4.5% interest of premises in Marriage Settlement of 1745; - will of Samuel Chase of 16 Jul 1751 appointing his wife Bridgett as his executrix and demising to her all his real estate; - 33 was still outstanding to Thomas Munn; - Samuel Chase was, at the time of his death indebted to his son Samuel for 35/2/-and his son Daniel for 30/8/- - (i) had agreed with Samuel and Daniel Chase to convey to them in trust the real estate noted in the marriage settlement of 1745 and conveyance of 1750, subject to the mortgage of 1751, in return for a bond of obligation of 100, a weekly allowance of 5/- for life and free tenure of the cottage in Louce Lane, Luton; Operative Part: - in consideration of the 100 bond of obligation, (i) released (a)-(g) to (ii) Property: (a) cottage in Leagrave late in occupation of Bridgett Gardener and John Falder, now of Richard How and William Falder; (b) orchard, backside or close of pasture adjoining (a), containing 1 acre and in occupation of Richard How bounded by cottage formerly of Thomas Gardener, now of William Langley to W and common street to N; (c) cottage built on part of (b) formerly in occupation of Francis Prudden, now of Abraham Newson; (d) 2 pieces or arable land in common field of Limbury called Starrdogg or Starvedogg Field containing 1 acre; half an acre abutting on Hitchin Way with land of John Southen, now Nathan James on both sides; other hald acre abutting on land of Mr.Crawley S and Nathan James W; (e) 1 rood arable in Backside Field, Leagrave, abutting land sometime of Robert Jenkyn, gentleman, deceased and adjoining land of Mr.Partridge W; (f) half acre of arable in Blackwell Field, Limbury, land of Thomas Purratt S, John Simons N, Woodburne Way W; (g) cottage in Louce Lane, Luton in occupation of Jonas Sale adjoining garden belonging to messuage of Jeremiah Okey in occupation of John Butterfield, maltster Habendum: - to (ii) to use of (ii); estate vested in James Gutteridge in trust for use of Samuel and Daniel Chase as tenants in common charged with 30 Mortgage to Thomas Munn Witnesses: - A.M.Glover; - William Hampson; - Robert Swindall, clerk to William Hampson
