    Release by way of Conveyance Parties: (i) John Addison and Thomas Goodfellow, both of Little Staughton, Surveyors of the Highways; (ii) William Cant of Great Staughton [Huntingdonshire], butcher; (iii) William Murfin of Great Staughton, yeoman Reciting: - Little Staughton Inclosure Act of 1801 allotting up to five acres as stone, gravel or mortar pit or pits; - Inclosure Commissioners on 27 Jan 1804 allotted as pits for gravel to repair public highways in parish (a) 2 acres on Moor Common bounded: N and E by second allotment to James Rust; S by Pertenhall road; W by Kimbolton road; (b) 1a 0r 6p on Moor Common bounded: N by Kimbolton road; NW to fifth allotment to Rector; - legality for Surveyor, with consent of Vestry, to sell pits; - agreement of Vestry and parishioners of Little Staughton for sale; - WL1000/1/STAU/1/3; - John Hewson and Rector of Little Staughton were the only perons whose lands bordered the Gravel Pit allotments and they had refused to purchase them, thus they had been sold by auction at Shoulder of Mutton public house, Little Staughton on 10 Feb 1840 when (iii) via his agent (ii) purchased them for 68 Operative Part: - (i) released (a)-(b) above to (iii) for 68 Witnesses: - John Costin; - John Beedham of Kimbolton [Huntingdonshire]
