    Copy Will of Robert Marsh of Kirby Lodge, Deenethorpe [Northamptonshire], farmer: - to his eldest son Samuel Marsh all his messuage and bakehouse in Holcott [Northamptonshire]; - to his eldest son, all his other real estate; - to his brothers Nicholas Marsh of Deene [Northamptonshire], farmer and William Marsh of Deenethorpe, farmer all his money and securities for money, crops, implements, furniture and personal estate upon trusts as follows: - to carry on his farm at Kirby Lodge until his eldest son Samuel became 21 at which time he should have the choice to buy the farming stock and furniture at a fair valuation and succeeding in occupation of the farm; if he died before 21 or decided not to succeed the same chance should be given to the second son Thomas Marsh; if he died or refused the option then the farm should be sold and the money invested, helping to support an annuity of 50 to his wife Alice Marsh which, if the farm should not be sold, should be paid out of the profits of the farm and of the testator's personal estate; on the death of Alice the principal sum supporting the annuity to become part of the testator's personal estate; - to his eldest son Samuel Marshall [sic] the sum of 1,200 when he became 21; - to his second son Thomas Marsh the sum of 1,200 when he became 21; - to his younger daughters Sarah Ann Marsh and Elizabeth Marsh 600 each when each became 21; - the trustees to invest 800 and apply the interest to the maintenance of his eldest daughter Mary Marsh; - the residue of his estate to be divided equally among his children, except Mary, when they became 21; - the trustees to be able to use up to half the legacy of each child, except Mary, for that child's advancement; - to Nicholas Marsh and William Marsh all real estate vested in him as mortgagee upon trust to apply as above; - Nicholas Marsh and William Marsh to be joint executors; - witnesses: Henry Lamb; John Baker, clerk to Lamb & Nettleship, solicitors; - death of Robert Marsh on 28 Jan 1848 and proof of will in PCC on 25 Apr 1848 - copy made 6 Mar 1856 by Henry W.Lamb and John Coates, clerks to Mr.Lamb of Kettering, solicitor
