Manor of Biggleswade copy out of court surrender of John Dalton of Biggleswade to use of his daughter Eliza Masters of: (a) cottage in Shortmead End late in occupation of Francis Usher, now of John Steed abutting: E on (b); W on tenement of Thomas Simson; with access to pump on property of Thomas Simson, subject to bearing part of maintenance cost of pump; (b) cottage in Shortmead End formerly in occupation of John Read, then Benjamin Olney, then Robert Haster, now John Steed containing: front next to North Road (including passage at E end) 35ft 6in; abutting E on ground late of John Carrington, then Robert Hedges; W on (a); extending backwards from E side of casement window in (a) in straight line to S corner of privy at bottom of garden and including two hogstyes; with access to pump on property of Thomas Simson; (c) plot of land of two acres in Biggleswade, part of a close called Oak Corner in occupation of Thomas Ayres; (d) dwellinghouse erected on (c) by John Dalton formerly in occupation of Edward Shenton; - John Dalton and John Brunt, deceased, admitted tenants to (c) and (d) on 24 Apr 1824 (e) two acres of land being another part of Oak Corner with right of way over S side of close to road from Shortmead Street; to which John Dalton was admitted tenant on 28 Apr 1843; - (c)-(e) being subject to conditional surrender by way of mortgage to use of Thomas James Hooper on 8 Jan 1868 to secure 500 Endorsed with note of marriage of Eliza Masters to Thomas Middleton of Hill House, Dulwich [London] on 26 Feb 1870
