    William Ivery of Holme in Bykylswad made 28 July pr. 30 Oct. 1540. Burial in the churchyard of Byckylyswade. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 6s. 8d.; to the church 20s.. To wife Agnes all such household stuff as she had before her marriage, also £20 in goods and "catell". To son John Ivery 10 marks; to son Wylyam Ivery 10 marks; to son Thomas Ivery 10 marks; to daughter Alys Ivery 10 marks. To Wylyam Wales 10 quarter of barley; to Johon' Feld 10 quarter of malt; to Alys Smythe 1 bullock; to John Edrocke 1 bullock; to John Wytham a cow; to servant Agnes a three year old bullock. To daughter Johanne Wales 10s.. A quarter of barley and a quarter of malt to each of the following: Thomas Feyld, Gylberd Weston, John Golsson, Willyam Peers, John Crowley, Nycholas Pygot, Nycolas Herd and Richard Hasylwod. To every godchild a sheep £3 to sir Richard Joy, priest, to sing for the testator and his friends in the chapel of Holme for half a year. His son John Ivery is to keep for 20 years a yearly obit for testator and his friends in the church of Bekylswade each year on his burial day in this manner. First the curate is to say mass and dirige, and there are to be 4 tapers burning while he is saying the service, and he is to have for them and for his labour 8d., and an offering of [?]1d., and the clerk to have 2d., and 9d. is to be given on the same day to poor people by the said John Ivery. For this purpose John is to have a cow delivered to him by testator's executors. Executors to be Thomas Wales and John Feyld, and each to have 10s., and sir Richard Joy to be supervisor. Residue to be divided between his wife Agnes and his children. Witnesses sir Wylyam Segrave, sir Richard Joy, Richard Hasylwod, Roger Longeforne.
