    Richard Walis of Holme in the parish of Bickylswade made 29 Mar. 1543. Burial in the churchyard of Byckyliswade. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 20d.. To "ower Lades werke off Lincoll" 2d.. To his son Thomas Walis and his heirs his house at Brome in the parish of Sowthevell with the land, mead and pasture. To wife Augnes his house at Langford where Thomas Walis lives, for the term of her life, and then it is to go to testator's son John Walis and his heirs, and to him also 20 quarters of barley and 4 steer bullocks. To his son Richard Walis and his heirs testator's house at Langford in Flaxmors Hende. His son Richard and testator's wife Augnes to have testator's farm in Holme which he leases from Maister Peke until the end of the lease, provided his wife remains single, and if wife leaves, then son Richard and his heirs to have the farm for the remainder of the lease. To his daughters Cristian Thomson and Elisabeth Shawe a cow and 6s. 8d. each. To his servant Agnes Ravyne a bullock and 3 quarters of barley. To Richard Sele 2 quarters of barley. To Richard Cardall 3 quarters of barley and a bullock. Residue to wife Agnes and son Richard, executors. Witnesses Maister William Segrave vicar of Bicklswad, Richard Hayselwode.
