    William Rechford / Recheford of Bickiliswade made 28 Apr. 1547, pr. 20 Oct. [presumably 1547]. Soul to God, the BVM and all the saints in heaven, and his burial in the churchyard of Byckiliswad. To the high altar 3s. 4d.; to the church of Byckiliswad 6s. 8d.; to the highway before his gates 6s. 8d.. To his son Thomas Rechford and his heirs all testator's houses and lands in the town and fields of Bickiliswad and Straston, and if Thomas should die without heirs of his body then the property to go to testator's son Valantyne Rechford. To son Valentyne Rechford 10 marks. To daughter Margerye Rechford 10 marks. To son John Rechford 10 marks. To servant John Regall 2 quarters of barley, a ewe and a lamb. To every godchild a lamb. To daughter Margery Rechford all her mother's wearing gear, a brazen mortar, a pint pot, 2 candlesticks, the best latten basin, the best brass pan, his second brass pot, 3 pair of the best sheets, his best coverlet, 2 of the best pewter platters, the best saucer, the best tablesloth. To his brother John Richford a quarter of barley, a quarter of malt, 2 bushel of rye. To sometime servant Agnes Freman 2 bushel of malt when she marries. If his children Thomas, Valantyne or Margery die before the age of 18, their legacies are to be divided among the survivors. Residue to son Thomas executor and Raffe Cocke to be the other executor, to whom 6s. 8d.. Witnesses William Segrave curate, John Bishope, John Rechford.
