- TitleMary, Newby Hall to Amabel Tom received a letter from Frederick, which informed him that Lady Henrietta Cole and her sister had not visited Dublin, as one of their brothers, the Dean of Waterford, had died, and their sister Florence was ill. She is convinced, "that Lady H.C. and the young Lady in Sp. Garden are the only two he [Tom] ever really considered of as Wives, since he was at Paris". She considers Lady Henrietta would have the advantage of being a 'novelty'. She has no objection to her trying to attain a private box at Drury Lane. Mentions Mrs Robinson has heard that the lawyers think the King has a right to educate his son, and that the prince has been ill.
