- TitleLucas, Castle to Grey (22) Reports illness is widespread in Dublin, commenting, "This whole town is full of measles, scarlatina [scarlet fever], erysipelas, locked jaw and every ailment of the human race...", and his wife has been ill for ten days. Mr Biddulph has altered his testimony, and appears to be more lenient on the accused. Mentions Mr Lyons, the Justice of the Peace appointed by the Lord Chancellor, "is turning out a fire brand on our hands." Also mentions the jewellers bill, for the collar for Prince Albert, is £276. Encloses a remonstrance of the House of Incurables (not present).
