Grantham, St. James's to Elliot, Berlin (draft) The King has appointed Sir John Stepney to succeed Lord Cholmondely as His Envoy Extraordinary to the Court of Berlin. Encloses the King's letters of recall addressed to the King and Queen of Prussia. It will be necessary for Elliot to remain in Berlin for some time after Stepney's arrival in order to deliver official correspondence, cyphers etc.
