Includes an extract of instructions to Eden, March, 1779. In case Eden finds that the King of Denmark wishes to enter into a defensive alliance with Britain and to supply ships of war to act in conjunction with the British fleets he is to: 1. give assurance of Britain's readiness to listen. 2. of Britain's inclination to consider a subsidy in proportion to the force and assistance given. 3. of Britain's inclination to guarantee Danish possessions in the East and West Indies. 4. of Britain's readiness to review and amend the Treaty of 1670.
