Harris, St. Petersburg to Grantham (private) Harris's house in St. Petersburg was purchased for £3,200 and he has spent a further £5,000 on it. He wishes Grantham to "prevail on the Government" to take it off his hands. This would be "highly flattering" to the Empress and "as beneficial to my successor as to me". Had previously mentioned the idea to Lord Suffolk.
