    Begins (like nos. 194-5) with 'ordinaries', and (though not at first) sometimes also uses the heading 'extraordinaries'. Until p.44 it is signed at intervals 'Kent' by the 11th Earl. On p.65 is an entry 'The house account which Mr. Wm. Nevile began to pay from Dec.12 1702 by my order. Kent,' in the hand of the 12th Earl (Duke). There are regular payments to 8 poor of Flitton. For wages, see inter alia pp. 34, 44, 57, 73, 236. Mr. Faldo sells coal (p.186). The mausoleum ('toom house') occurs pp. 343-93 (1705); cf. 28/19.
