KINGS LIVERPOOL REGT and after relief moved forward to the Front Line area, HOLLEBEKE SECTOR to relieve 17th BN. KINGS LIVERPOOL REGT. and took up dispositions as follows: - "A" Company in Reserve at RAVINE "B" Company in Support OAK TRENCH "C" Company Right Front Line Sub-Sector. Company H.Q. FORRET FARM. "D" Company Left Front Line Sub-sector. Company H.Q. O.12.a.35.90. Battalion H.Q. RAVINE Casualties NIL 22 Oct 1917 Battalion in HOLLEBEKE SECTOR. 2nd Lieut. D.P.Cross rejoined Battalion. 1 Other Rank slightly wounded. Lieut. H.Hargreaves taken on strength of 262 Employment Coy. and struck off strength of Battalion. 23 Oct 1917 Battalion in HOLLEBEKE SECTOR. Casualties NIL. 24 Oct 1917 Battalion in HOLLEBEKE SECTOR. About 12 m.n. 23rd/24th a number of the enemy made a silent raid. The raiding party were observed moving immediately to the Right of No.3 Post. They were fired at by the Lewis Gun at this Post, after firing one drum a German threw a bomb which fell on the Lewis Gunners shelter blowing it in, the Lewis Gun continued firing and killed the thrower. The remainder of the Germans made off towards No.1 Post who fired on them and wounded one man who was captured. It is thought that at least two other of the enemy were killed by our Lewis Gun fire. the hostile raiding party numbered about 15. The raid was completely repulsed. Casualties one Other Rank wounded 7 one Other Rank killed by shell fire. 25 Oct 1917 Battalion in HOLLEBEKE SECTOR. Casualties Nil. 26 Oct 1917 - Chinese Wall Battalion in HOLLEBEKE SECTOR. Casualties 1 Other Rank wounded. the Battalion was relieved by 19th Bn.KINGS LIVERPOOL REGT. relief complete by 9 p.m. The Battalion then moved back to CHINESE WALL in Brigade Reserve and took over dispositions as on 2.9.17. Sick Wastage 2 Other Ranks. 27 Oct 1917 Battalion at CHINESE WALL.
