C.G.Wilkins joined Battn. also draft of 39 O.R.) 4 Jan 1918 Inspection of Battalion by Coys by Corps Commander. 5 Jan 1918 Battn. training carried on. 6 Jan 1918 Church Service (combined C. of E. & Nonconformist service by Royal Order it being a special day of Prayer) 7 Jan 1918 Platoon Training. 2nd party proceeded on reconnaissance scheme.. Lt.G.M.Betty, and Lt.W.T.Morris & 2nd Lt.L.J.Hobson joined Battn. Boxing in afternoon. 8-9 Jan 1918 Battn. training continued. 10 Jan 1918 Battn. training contd. Reconnaissance of line by other 2 Coys. 31 Jan 1918 Remaining Officers & C.Q.M.S. reconnoitre line. Lt.H.W.J.Powell returned from hospital. 9 Officers reconnoitred route to Left Battn. of Right Bde. OPERATION ORDER No. 120 1st Battalion The Bedfordshire Regt. 22nd January 1918 Reference map BRENTA - PIAVE 1/100,000 1. Battalion will move with 15th Infy Bde Group to the MORGANA area tomorrow 23rd inst. 2. STARTING POINT level crossing South of S. GIORGIO delle PERTICHE Station. Battalion will pass Starting Point at 10.2 a.m. 200 yards in rear of Bde. H.Q. and No.4 Signal Section. 3 ROUTE CAMPOSAMPIERO - Road Junction 1/2 Kilometre south of LOREGGIA - VIANELLO - RONCHI - PIOMBINO DESE - thence as guided to Billeting Area by Signalling Officer. 4. PARADE. Battalion will parade at 9-55 a.m. in column of Route on Road Head of Column to be at point on Road 300 yards E. of Battalion Headquarters. Order of March: - Headquarters. Drums. "B" Coy. "D" Coy. "A" Coy. "C" Coy. Transport. 100 yards between Companies will be maintained when the Battalion moves off. Details of 13th. Infantry Brigade (1 Officer and 53 O.R's.) will be attached to "C" Coy. until further orders. 5. DINNERS. will be cooked on line of march, and will be ready by 2 p.m.
