    Parties: (i) Mary Buckmaster of Edlesborough [Buckinghamshire], spinster; (ii) James Nathaniel Cartwright of Dunstable, gentleman and Hattil Foll of Bristol, brewer (executors and trustees of will of Nathaniel Cartwright, late of Dunstable, gentleman, deceased); (iii) James Nathaniel Cartwright; (iv) Benjamin Bennett of Dunstable, brewer; (v) John Mellor of Dunstable, auctioneer Reciting: - mortgage of 18 Aug 1831 between William Batchelor and Mary Buckmaster, see WB/Green4/1/HoR1/13; - mortgage of 22 Aug 1831 between William Batchelor and Nathaniel Cartwright, see WB/Green4/1/HoR1/14; - default was made in payment and 165 now owing to Mary Buckmaster and 77 now owing to Nathaniel Cartwright - death of William Batchelor in Jan 1834, intestate, leaving his brother Benjamin as his heir at law; - release of 24 mar 1838 from Benjamin Batchelor to James Nathaniel Cartwright, see WB/Green4/1/HoR1/17; - 150 owing to (i) and 70 owing to (ii), all interest having been paid Operative Part: - (iv) paid 150 to (i) by direction of (iii); - (iv) paid 70 to (ii) by direction of (iii); - (iv) paid 2 to (iii); - (i) and (ii) released (a)-(c) to (iv) Property: (a) two newly erected cottages in Houghton Regis formerly in occupation of Charles Duncomb and John Fox, now Benjamin Tofield and Joseph Groom and party wall dividing them from other cottage some time in occupation of Richard Gosbell in ownership of John Duncomb; (b) four cottages lately erected by William Batchelor standing on (c); (c) piece of ground adjoining (a) measuring: SW-NE next to land of Joseph Toefield 25 ft; SE-NW 77 ft; bounded SW by remaining piece of garden ground staying in ownership of John Duncomb; NE partly by estate of George Mellor (now Benjamin Bennett), partly by land of Joseph Toefield; with right of way to and from well on remaining yard of John Duncomb paying two thirds of maintenance cost of rope and bucket Habendum: - to (iv), to use of (iv), to use of (v) in trust for (iv) to bar dower to use of (iv) Witnesses: - John Buckmaster; - Richard Howes; - M.R.Southam
