    Abstract of Title of Messrs William Hugh and Richard Wade-Gery (Charles Robert crossed out) to freehold land in the parish of St Cuthbert in the Town of Bedford - 1) Alfred Good of London, chartered accountatn, 2) Nevile Day of Easton on the Hill, Northants and Charles Robert Wade-Gery of St Neots, solicitor, 3) C R Wade-Gery 4) Richard Wade-Gery of Bushmead. Recites back to mortgage 1) George bower of St Neots, gas engineer, 2) C R Wade-Gery for 13,000 - Bower Bedford Building Estate. Jan 1884 and mortgage 1) George Bower and 2) Charles Day for 24,677 10s + interest. G Bower filed for bankruptcy 18 Feb 1887 A Good made a trustee uner the debtor's scheme of arrangement. Shortly before his bankruptcy Bower endeavoured to dispose of the unsold portions of the said estate and suceeded in obtaining an offer of 12500. Owing to bad state of the roads on the said estate and the quantity of building land in Bedford for sale it appeared to C R Wade-Gery improbable that he should be able to obtain a better price and he consequently upon the bankruptcy of Bower took up and adopted the negociations for the sale which then fell through so C R Wade-Gery agreed to take the said mortgaged hereditaments at the price of 12500 leaving a deficiency of 1232 5s 11d. 29 July 1887 - 1) C R Wade-Gery, 2) William Hugh Wade-Gery and Richard Wade-Gery. Purchase of property had been made by 1) as a trustee only the said sum being the proper moneys of 2), 1) at the request of 2) now conveys all of the lands which were not then sold or contracted to be sold in the indenture of 29 July 1887 to 2) 2 March 1888
