Statutory Declaration by Thomas Decimus Franklyn of North Collingham [Nottinghamshire], gentleman that: - he was one of the sons of Charles Franklyn of Potton, surgeon and Christian his wife; - he was aged 58 years; - he lived with his parents in Potton for over twenty years; - he was born in March 1784; - his father owned a close of land in Potton containing 6a 1r 38p now in occupation of Jacob Allen; - Charles Franklyn always occupied and farmed the close on his own; - Charles Franklyn died seised of the close and demised it in his will to his widow; - declared at Newark [Nottinghamshire] before John Whall, Master Extraordinary in Chancery - postmarked Worksop, 3 Mar 1842 and sent to Nash, Wedd & Thurnall of Royston
