Will and Probate of Eleanor, Dowager Baroness St.John of Melchbourne Cottage, widow: Will (2 Feb 1885): - to her son Beauchamp Moubray St.John all watches, jewels, clothing, plate, linen, glass, china, books, pictures, prints, musical instruments, furniture etc., horses etc., wines, food etc. - 3,000 had already been given to Beauchamp Moubray St.John; - to Beauchamp Moubray St.John and Rev.Spencer Richard Arthur Buller of Twickenham, 3,000 upon trusts; - all real estate and residue of personal estate to Beauchamp Moubray St.John and Spencer Richard Arthur Buller upon trusts to realise them and to stand possessed of half for Beauchamp Moubray St.John; - trustees to stand possessed of other half of residue of estate as well as the 3,000 upon trust for sons of her dead son Rev.Edmund Tudor St.John or, if none survived, for Beauchamp Moubray St.John; - to Spencer Richard Arthur Buller 50 free of legacy duty; - Beauchamp Moubray St.John and Spencer Richard Arthur Buller to be joint executors; - witnessed by Frederick Henry Bolingbroke, clerk, of Bletsoe Rectory and James Tolber Green, schoolmaster of Bletsoe; - extracted by Farrer & Co of 66 Lincolns Inn Fields, solicitors Probate (9 Feb 1900):: - Eleanor St.John died on 28 Nov 1899 at Melchbourne Park; - proved by Rev.Spencer Richard Arthur Buller and Beauchamp Moubray St.John
