    Deed of Charge by Way of Indemnity Parties: (i) Crewe Alston of Odell Castle, esquire; (ii) Charles Baker of Lincolns Inn Fields [Middlesex], esquire; Henry Frederic Alston, formerly of Odell, now of Calais [France], esquire; William Gale Coles of Clifton [Gloucestershire], banker Reciting: - release and settlement of 2 Mar 1839 as recited in X284/8/4/2; - indenture of 13 May 1850 between (1) Crewe Alston; (2) Charles Baker; (3) Louis Robert Bellamy; (4) George Leeke Baker in which the life interest of (1) in estates specified in settlement of 2 Mar 1839 were charged with payment of 5,000 with interest to (2); - indenture of 23 Apr 1855 between (1) (i); (2) (ii); (3) Charles Baker; (4) Frederick Hogge and Charles Samuel Lindsell; for sale by (10 and (2) to (4) for 1,900 of the next presentation to the Rectory of Odell of which Rev.Vere John Alston was still incumbent; - (i) had received the 1,900 from Frederick Hogge and Charles Samuel Lindsell and (ii) had requested indemnity if (i) died during the incumbency of Rev.Vere John Alston, in form of a life assurance policy for 2,000 for himself during the life of Rev.Vere John Alston; - (i) had taken out a life assurance policy with Liverpool & London Life Insurance Company on 21 Apr 1855, number 5674 Operative Part: - (i) charged all estates to which he was entitled under settlement of 2 Mar 1839, except Odell advowsan, to pay (ii) the premium on the 2,000 life assurance policy during joint lives of himself and Rev.Vere John Alston; with proviso for distraint if in arrear - (i) to pay assurance policy premiums; - (ii) to stand possessed of the assurance policy in trust Witness - Thomas Leach Street, clerk to Baker & Co; - Joseph Johnston, clerk to Baker & Co.
