Title
Corn prices: Letter from W Cooke, the Treasury, Whitehall, to John Marsh, Esq, Clerk of the Peace at Bedford, asking that the Justices appoint people to make the returns for the price of corn at various towns in the County. A standard Winchester Bushel is only to be had of Mr John Savage in Great Tower Street, London, at a cost of 4 13s. 25 August 1770., With a duplicate of returns of the prices of corn at Bedford Market and certificates that Thomas Swepson has made the returns and is entitled to payment. 17 April 1771.
