  • Title
    Admission of James Hide (victualler), Biggleswade, on forfeited conditional surrender of William Robinson (straw dealer and customary or copyhold tenant of said Manor), Langford. Property (a) As in Z 903/3/1/8 (c). (b) Allotment of land containing 28 poles, bounded on the east by an allotment to William Welles (gardener), on the south by the Sixth described as a private road, and on the north and west by a freehold allotment to Simon Robinson, then belonging to William Robinson. (Copyhold allotment awarded to Simon Robinson in lieu of his copyhold lands, rights and interests, holder of the manor of Holme with Langford). The said cottage or tenement, pightle of pasture or arable ground allotment of land was then in the occupation of William Robinson, to which he was admitted tenant on 28 December 1848 on the surrender of Thomas and John Robinson, George Currell and wife. Robinson to pay Hide £200 sterling with interest rate at £5 per centum per annum. Payments to be made on 22nd September at the Common Dining Hall at Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex. Hide may repossess property if default made in payment of principle sum or interest. Testifies that default was made on payment of £200. The estate became absolute at...law. James Hide granted tenancy at yearly rent of one shilling fealty suit of court and £7 fine. Fealty was respited.
