Report of Sarah Ford, wife of John Ford, Basketmaker of Shortmead Street Biggleswade. Hannah Danes, wife of James Danes of Rose Lane, came into her house enquiring after some work that Sarah Ford was doing for her. Ford told Danes that she couldn't do the work as it was too bad. Danes asked Ford if she could make her a new one and Ford replied that she couldn't at the moment. Danes then started to abuse Ford who asked her to leave. Danes wouldn't leave and caught hold of Ford. Ford went into the kitchen and Danes followed and knocked Ford against the kitchen door. Ford threatened to throw water over Danes but Danes caught hold of the bucket and threw the water over the front room carpet. Danes left, but then returned and threw a side table over. 3/6
