Summons issued to James Dennis, Labourer of Potton for unlawfully stealing potatoes from a field, the property of George Kitchener. Report of Sergeant Thomas Vincent stationed at Potton. Several complaints had been made concerning vegetables being stolen from the Market Garden Fields. He was on duty from Potton to Deepdale when he saw Jaumes Dennis in a field of potatoes. He was pulling them up and putting them into his pocket. He said he hadn't any but Sergeant Vincent found some in his pocket and a cucumber. 14 days hard labour.
