  • Title
    Report of Daniel Dickens of Northill, Steward at the Wesleyan Chapel at Upper Caldecote. Two boys, William Foxley of Vinegar Hill and Alfred Wheatley of Hatch misbehaved during the sermon. They were talking, laughing and playing. Foxley pulled a pocket handkerchief out of the pocket of a boy in front and made a 'rabbit' out of it causing the boys nearby to laugh also. Dickens requested them to leave about half way throught the sermon but they refused to go and continued to cause a disturbance. The Preacher, Mr Saunderson, reproved them after the sermon was over.
