- TitleInformation of Joseph Triplow, Farmer of Girtford that William Henshaw unlawfully and knowingly obtained from him 5 loads of straw to the value of £9.10 with intent to cheat and defraud him. Evidence of Joseph Triplow that William Henshaw had come to his yard asking the price of straw. Henshaw bought 5 loads of straw Triplow subsequently found that William Henshaw was not in any way employed by Harry Hensahw, had no authority to buy the straw and had not delivered the straw to him. Evidence of Charles Cartwright, Beerhouse Keeper and Market Gardener of Biggleswade that William Henshaw had asked him to fetch straw from Mr Triplow's. He had met Henshaw with the load at Mr Gilder's shop in Shortmead Startt, Biggleswade and then took it to Mr Bennett's in Sun Street. Evidence of Samuel Cartwright, in the employ of Charles Cartwright that he was sent to Mr Triplow's to fetch another load of straw. He took it to Mr Gilder's. Cartwright fetched another load of straw and when passing the Oak Public House, Biggleswade, Henshaw came out and told him to take it to Frederick Gee in Sun Street. He fetched the last load of straw and met Henshaw opposite the Church in Bigglsewade. They took the straw to William Medlock, the Landlord of the Blue Ball Public House. The final load went to Charles Cartwright.
