Margaret 300 marks' worth of household stuff, as in settlement of 23rd June 1563 (see W52) To Robt. 'Carpendo' 100 marks. To younger s. John lease of parsonage of Fenlake Barns. To servts. Ric. Lambe & Lewis Mathew 10 each. To every servt. in the house a quarter's wages. To repair of the sd. chapel and for a 'forebell' 6.13.4. To every poor cottager in Cardington 2s. To s. George all manors, lands, rents not granted elsewhere 'upon this condition ... and not otherwise' that s. Geo. shall permit exor. to take rents until legacies and debts have been discharged, including the following:- Annuity of 20 to Ann Drewrye. Debts:- Mr. Wynche (unspecified). Eliz. Kinswoman of Greg. Rodwell's w. 5. Mr. Gosticke of Bedford 7 qtrs. barley. one Bridges of Iwelberie 7. Isabel w. to servt. Robt. Bray 50. To nephew Wm. Curzon of Bylaugh Norfolk esq., exor., 40. 'earnestly requiring him, as my special trust is in him above all others, that he will see this my last will and testament performed... And where there is a recognisance knowledged unto me by my sd. s. George Gascoigne, my mind and intent is ... that if it happen the same to be forfeit by my sd. s. and that Thos. Colby, be by any ways troubled or molested by my sd. s. for or concerning any lands ... which he ... hath bought ... of me and the sd. Ge.' exor. is to give Thos. Colby every assistance. (Thos.
