    Folio 117d - William Otwey of Felmersham made 16 Aug. 1551 [sic] pr. 16 Sep. 1557 “Firste I beqth my soule to god allmightie and to have felowshippe amongeste the holy company of heaven my body to be bured in the churche yard of Felmersham”. To son Robert Otwaye testator’s house, lands, meadows and free rents on condition that he keeps his mother Agnes, testator’s wife, and gives her meat, drink, raiment, bedding and fire, and gives her every quarter of each year 4d.. Should she remarry then she is to have nothing but the household stuff and the moveables. If she remain single, and if she and Robert cannot agree, then she is to have the kitchen in the house and 13s. 4d. a year for her lifetime. After the deaths of both Robert and Agnes, the house and lands and meadows are to go to Richard Otweye and to his heirs. Should Richard have no issue, then if Richard has a sister, the property to go to her and her heirs. If there is no living kin of either Robert or Richard, then all the property is to be sold, and after the payment of 10s. to Alis Jenkynsone of Higham, then the money to go “amongest the povertie” and to pray for the souls of William Otwaye, Agnes, Robert, Richard, Thomas Barton, John Atwaye and Joane his wife. Executors wife Agnes Otwey and son Robert Otwey. Witnesses Morgan Lache, John Toupe, Thomas Rawbones.
