    Folio 110 - William Strange of Howghton [Regis] made 28 Aug. pr. 15 Sept. 1557. Soul to almighty God, our blessed lady St. Mary and all the holy company of heaven, and burial in parish church yard of Howghton. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to high altar for tithes forgotten 4d.; to every poor house in the parish 2 pecks of wheat. To son Richard Strange his house and land called Strangishe with meadow and all appurtenances, and he to pay to testator’s son John Strange, Robert Strange and Steven Strange £6 13s. 4d. each. Wife Alis to have her dwelling within testator’s house called Strangishe for 3 years after testator’s death. To wife the house in the lane. To daughter Elizabethe Strange £3 6s. 8d..To daughter Margery Strange 40s.. To son Thomas testator’s house called [?]Myledeuysse with one acre of land. To son Henry the house called Gregxe. Residue to wife Alis, sole executrix, and his overseer to be Thomas Wallis (to whom 2s.) Witnesses Raff Feild, John Collyns, Elizabeth Ball, Alice Welche.
