To mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the high altar of Turvey for tithes forgotten 12d.. To son John 4 horses, 4 kine, 10 couple of ewes and lambs, and one shod cart with 4 cart gears for the 4 horses, all to be given him on the day of his marriage or before then, if testator’s wife wishes it. To daughter Ele 3 kine and one breeder at discretion of testator’s wife and £6 13s. 4d. in money, or money’s worth, to be given her on her marriage, if she is ruled by her mother. To daughter Agnes 3 kine, one breeder and £6 13s. 4d. in money or money’s worth on day of her marriage, is she is ruled by her mother.. To godson Thomas Edwardes one weaning calf to be given him at the Christmas after testator’s death. To each of Thomas Edwardes children a ewe and a lamb. To son in law William Benson a heifer and to each of his children a ewe lamb. If son John cannot agree to live with his mother then he is to have testator’s farm at the Hillis where Thomas Edwardes the younger now lives paying for the same each year to his mother 40s. for the term of her life as long as he keeps it in his own hands. Residue to wife Mawde, sole executrix,, and supervisors to be Master William Lyon, William Adams and William Skefyngton. Witnesses John Cowper, Thomas Stevenson, Robert Skefington, and sir John Anderson curate of Turvey.
