- Scope and ContentSoul to the blessed Trinity, St. Mary and all the holy company of heaven, and burial in churchyard of Blunham. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 20d.. To the Rood loft 3s. 4d.; to the bells 12d.. To wife Elizabeth the house where testator dwells for the term of her life, remainder to testator’s daughter Mary. To his wife his horses, carts, ploughs with the appurtenances for her lifetime and then to daughter Mary. To wife 3 milch beasts and a bullock. To daughter Mary the house at “Sanct [?]James hold” on the day of her marriage. Immediately on his death daughter Mary is to have the rent of testator’s shop and of his tools which belong to the shop, a red pied bullock and a brown pied bullock, the best folding table and the best chair. His white freize coat and his black freize [coat], a pair of hose, a leather doublet, the marbled jerkin, a pair of old hose are all to be given to the poor by testator’s executors, who are to be wife Elizabeth and Jeffrey Osborne, the latter to have 6s. 8d.. To Agnes Cowper on the day of her marriage 6s. 8d.. Residue to wife Elizabeth. Overseer to be Richard Ward, to whom 20d.. Witnesses Gabriell Powre and Thomas [?]Hawnford.
